Meet the Tapestry crew

Take a peek inside the shop and meet the family behind every order.

WHO WE ARE

A family print shop with a whole lot of heart

We are Dan and Summer Hermann, married 25 years and parents of 8 incredible kids, plus an amazing daughter-in-law and our very first grandchild on the way. Our love for print shops started way back, when Dan worked at a local shop in our early days.

HOW WE STARTED

From a side hustle to a shop of our own

The love of printing words and pictures came back in recent years as we built our own side hustle from home. While raising kids and growing a family business that serves families like ours (foster, adoptive and special needs families), we created Tapestry Notebooks, a creative and beautiful tool to capture moments, details and so much more.

As we made notebooks, we also started making sweatshirts, cups and t-shirts, hoping to encourage others through the words and phrases we printed. Our vision grew, and we dreamed of a place to put it all together. For a couple of years our kitchen table and garage were our main workspaces, and our whole family pitched in on small jobs in the community.

Then we walked into a local print shop and met a super great guy who helped us with a job we were struggling with. We learned he was selling his shop, and we knew it could be exactly what we needed to grow. It has been a whirlwind, but here we are, ready to continue what Bridge City Inkworks began years ago.

We hope to keep providing excellent print service and to give our family's heart a home to create and serve through notebooks, sweatshirts, cups and so much more.
